Unhappy service

I spent $8600 CAD for some barstools for my new business and told them I needed them in 3 - 4 weeks as my business is set to open, I was assured what I wanted was in stock and everything would be fine so I paid in full for my order... I got an email a week later telling me they do not have what i ordered in stock and have no ETA as to when they will get more.

it was a hassle to cancel my order and get my money back as they tried to push other styles on me instead. I also felt weird about the fact the business is called Restaurant Furniture CANADA and they are not canadian, and dont even have a warehouse in Canada... It was then I decided to look up some reviews and was terrified with what I had stumbled across. I learned a valuable lesson and will always be checking reviews from now on before ordering!

seems like this company has no redeeming qualities and for that reason I decided to take my business elsewhere...

they sent me my money back but told me the conversion rate wasnt the same anymore ( a week later) and I have lost out on $600 CAD. I would advise staying away from this business.

Restaurant Furniture Canada - Terrible
I bought 44 chairs less than a year ago. Two have already fallen apart. I emailed them asking about some replacement screws. K figured after $8k they would at least send me a few screws to allow me to get the broken chairs back up and running. Nope. Told me to go to the hardware store. The chairs definitely feel cheap and not worth what I paid for them. Disappointed.

Ordered 68 restaurant chairs. When they were delivered, they were not as shown on the website. Initially, they promised to correct the mistake. Then they ghosted us for 3 months. When they finally responded, it was to renege on the promise. Combative and dismissive staff. Manager Eric Brenner was dishonest and completely ineffectual.

this company is not in Canada, don't know why they call it that. On a 30000 USD order they tried to tack on 6000 USD for freight. When i questioned them on it, they ignored me and kept asking when i wanted to make the down payment to get the order going. I then sourced a real Canadian owned company and these people said they could come down the roughly 30% to match the price. Then after a few hours they sent me a snotty email saying the order had been "CANCELLED" and i would need to start the process again if i wanted them to re quote. wow.

Bad Customer Service

I ordered for the first time 2 years ago and the service and the quality of the tables were so good. I needed to order 2 extra tables.

The delivery was more expensive than the tables. What I understand is that they come from the United States. Both of the tables were damaged upon arrival (grooved scratches) and the colour wasn't the same as the first walnut tables I got. This wasnt a slight variation as is the case with wood.

The original tables are a rich brown with some gloss. The new tables were almost a black wood and a matte finish. I took pictures of them and sent to your company and spoke with representative _____ who apologized and explained she would contact the manufacturer. I waited for almost 3 months for an answer so I called back and the very first thing the rep said was there is nothing they can do.

On top of that questioned my needs. I wanted to explain my situation to find resolution and the guy on phone told me I interrupted him and from that point he wouldn't let speak. I asked for a manager. Eric came on the phone and he came out swinging right away and was so rude and told me that there is nothing he would do.

After I went and read a lot of reviews and Erics name is everywhere with complaints. Customer service didn't even know where my emails went (4 of them). Its very sad that you do not stand by the quality of your products and that cutomer service blames the customer and/or offers an indifferent attitude to resolution.

I do not recommend this company and the worst is how they make you feel for something that your fault. The tables were damaged in transit and were sent out as a different colour than what was ordered but we are out the money and have damaged and mismatched colour tables.

They are not a Canadian company and do not have facilities in Canada. Everything is based out of the U.S. with different departments in different states. I ordered table bases with connecting rods missing. Their responses were so delayed and of complete disregard, I had to source out connecting rods for the tables myself. If you do not believe the review, call them pretending to have a missing item just to see the tone of the customer service. of

I ordered 15 Tables and bases for my restaurant and was promised a ship date in 10 days.....2 months later and several unanswered emails and phone calls the order finally arrived. okay where to start.......tables we NOT what i ordered....completely different laminate...the table bases were missing parts. I Finally talked to customer service...well that was a complete disaster...to make a long story short....I called my credit card company and received a full refund. This company should be sued.

They are not Canadian based and not one of my issues has been resolved. Purchase of bar stools and tables in August 2018 and to date over a dozen emails with pictures of damaged product, wrong product and all responses are we cant help you or the refund check is in the mail. All of our barstool wooden seats are cracking, one table base ordered as bar height and standard table height was received. I suggest using this company instead-ACQ Seating. They have a great Canadian made selection and all items received were of good quality and received as ordered. What a treat!

I am designing a restaurant in BC and was initially mislead by the company name- leave it an American enterprise to name their company something misleading.

I am a very seasoned buyer, as my job. .

I buy items very diligently. I dont blindly order things online, I do not like to shop online as I like to touch things, test them and make sure I can see the finish etc.

I called and spoke to a sales rep, Stan, more than 3 times asking for all the specs on their 'navy' stool, a replica of the Emeco chair. He told me the finishes was a UV coat on steel ( which I wanted and liked ) I asked the weight capacity for the stools, he ensured me they were good for 500lb "New Yorkers".

I received the items ,which were vastly different -------

silver powder coated ( painted, essentially) and the back had a different design. They have different feet which will not work well on our concrete floors.

I chose pieces with plastic glides/ feet so there wouldn't be any scraping sounds.

WORST CUSTOMER RESPONSE EVER. Sarcastic, super aware of their verbiage should there be a lawyer inserted into the scene.

Constantly asking if I " was happy and would like to keep them?"

I kept answering" no, never have I been happy with these, but my hands are tied due to timeline.

they offered a rebate to our company $250.00

the order was $5000.00

they sent an imposter product, mislead me completely both on the phone and the stool is still on their website!!

NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM THEM. and to boot, you cannot leave a google review about them - they have made sure of this.

ordered 6 chairs to see if we liked them before ordering 150 more for our reno. they said I would have them end of May, they were a month late. Their add says solid wood seats approx. 1 inch thick, they came with 5/8 inch plywood. Repeated calls talks with the customer service department. This always led to Courtney, who would tell you what you wanted to hear and then never follow through. Tried to talk to a manager or owner but they were never in. Can't believe this US company still gets orders or stays in business. Nelson, BC

I bought brand new booths for my brand new restaurant from these people and they sent me used scratched and damaged booths. I attempted to tell them to have them fix the issue and after 2 months of waiting for them to resolve this they tell me that the shipping company is not doing anything about it and they don’t take responsibility for this. Biggest joke of a company you will ever deal with in your life time.

I ordered on May 9th, here we are August and no delivery despite repeated promises. And they can’t even tell me where the furniture is, when it will arrive. Plus they put me on hold for hours, transfer the call, drop the call .... and the. Tell me I hung up and was supposed to schedule the delivery, despite multiple “confirmed” delivery dates. BUYER BEWARE.

Worst Experience Ever!

First off, this company is not a Canadian company. They are a US company under the guise of a Canadian company.

We ordered tables and chairs for a restaurant that was opening at the end of June. We received a delivery date, which was not followed through on. The company told us that they would provide us wih compensation for the delay. The furniture finally arrived three weeks late, although two pieces of furniture (two booths) were severely damaged, and 12 chairs didn't show up.

They refused to take responsibility for the damaged furniture, and it took another two weeks for the missing furniture to show up. We dealt with their customer service department on several occasions (specifically someone named Alberto), who fed us lies about arrival dates and compensation for over a month.

In the end, we are not getting compensated, nor did we feel they cared about our complaints to begin with. This is a piece of *** company and my recommendation is to go through any one else to get your furniture, unless you're in the market to get jerked around.

Note: Not a Canadian company in spite of the mis-leading company name! Production is in Indiana and Sales is based in Chicago. After several difficult telephone conversations with various staff members of this company it became clear that I was not going to receive satisfactory response, customer support, nor any resolution regarding particularly poorly designed and failing chairs therefore I decided to tell you about this experience so that you can make a decision based real experience of a fellow entrepreneur.. If you are researching quality commercial grade products from a reliable supplier offering reasonable customer support my advice is to shop elsewhere. Almost 30% of the chairs that were shipped to my little coastal Inn catastrophically failed after minimal use. In fact 90% of the chairs showed cracking in the leg structures after I inspected them in detail following the first catastrophic failure which un-expectedly collapsed and dumped my 120 Lb wife onto the floor badly bruising her leg. The Chairs looked nice and felt solid without showing any obvious damage on delivery (fully assembled). There were no signs of loose hardware and there were no indications from the supplier any requirement to re-torque any hardware upon delivery. The chairs underwent only very light use in a quiet B&B dining room only seasonally. After the first collapse I immediately inspected all of the chairs and was forced to remove 30% of them from service as they were about to collapse. The design of the attaching hardware and possibly the torque setting in initial assembly both seemed to contribute to the failures (all at the same attachment point). I contacted the company immediately and was shuttled from one staff to another with nebulous explanations regarding my claim. They requested an image of the failed chair which I provided then when I told them that they nearly all showed signs of cracking wood and several displayed signs of impending complete failure and that I was forced to remove several from service, they requested images of all of the chairs that were effected which I meticulously provided. At first it sounded like they were going to replace the chair that initially failed (re: "nebulous explanations") however when they received the images of all the failed and failing chairs they said that the torque on the hardware must not be correct but unfortunately the one-year warranty had passed by then so they were not going to approve any claims and that I should contact the company's owner which I did and from him after several emails I received a "snarky": the one-year warranty date has passed so there would be no support. Fair enough, the one year warranty had expired and so there is no recourse except to warn others from making the same mistake by buying these products from this company. When one purchases commercial grade "restaurant" furniture one would expect that furniture to withstand commercial use and to last a reasonable period of time. These chairs saw only very light use and only for a combined total of 11 Months over two operating seasons and have a failure rate of 90%..... Deal with this company (not Canadian) at your own risk and do not trust sales staff claims of quality or customer support. I would be happy to provide factual details to anyone interested.
